01Our commitment to safety
OMG connects you with strangers on live video, so safety isn't an add-on — it's built into how the whole app works. We keep OMG a space for real, verified adults with active moderation, fast reporting, and clear rules that everyone agrees to.
These guidelines are part of our Terms of Use. Breaking them can lead to immediate, permanent removal.
02Community rules
These are the rules everyone follows on OMG. Breaking them can mean a permanent ban and a device block — often with no warning.
- Be yourself — no fakes. Don't use someone else's photos, impersonate anyone, or lie about your age or gender. We may ask you to verify.
- 18 and over only. OMG is for adults. We run age checks and remove anyone underage.
- No harassment. No insults, threats, stalking, persistent unwanted contact, or unsolicited sexual messages.
- No hate or discrimination. No racism, hate speech, or attacks based on ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other identity. No bullying or defamation.
- Nothing illegal or dangerous. No violence, weapons, drugs, exploitation, or promotion of self-harm. Anything involving minors is reported to the authorities.
- No spam or scams. No advertising, bots, phishing, money requests, or pushing people to other platforms.
03Safety features built in
Every OMG match is backed by layers of protection that work automatically — so you can focus on the conversation.
04Reporting & what happens next
If something feels wrong during a match, tap the shield to report. The video blurs right away so you don't have to keep watching, and we capture a short clip automatically as evidence — you don't need to do anything else.
Our team reviews reports, usually within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we may:
- Issue a warning for a first, minor breach.
- Temporarily suspend the account.
- Permanently ban the person and block their device for serious or repeat violations.
- Report to law enforcement where the content or conduct requires it.
05Adults only & age checks
OMG is for people 18 and over. We combine self-declared age with account signals and age-assurance checks — including camera-based age estimation that may run before you start matching — to keep the community adults-only. Accounts we believe belong to minors are removed and reported where the law requires it.
For details on how age-check data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
06Your safety tips
Our tools do a lot, but a few habits keep you even safer when meeting new people:
- Keep it on OMG. We can't protect you off the platform, so be cautious if someone pushes to move to another app.
- Guard your personal info. Don't share your phone number, address, socials, or financial details with people you just met.
- Look for the verified badge. It signals a real, age-checked member in good standing.
- Never send money or gifts. Requests for money, codes, or gift cards are almost always a scam.
- Trust your instincts. You can skip or block anyone, anytime — no reason needed.
- Report it. If something breaks the rules, report it so we can act and protect others.
